Peach jam, peach preserves, and wild plum jelly now grace our pantry.
Seventy-five peach pits in the ground.
Our first beehive arrived last night. It was so late in the season I had all but given up on starting our apiary this year. But luckily we found a gentleman who was selling a whole hive on Craigslist. It’s a wonderful, healthy Italian hive, now living in our garden pollinating our vegetables.
Zucchini bread and muffins from our garden. All that from a single zucchini!
Today’s harvest: four zucchini, one pak choi, and an egg. The big zucchini will make four loaves of zucchini bread. Yum!
